The Asian continent is at the forefront with 1.4 billion players. Europe ranks second with 668 million consumers. Latin America and North America follow them with 383 and 261 million consumers, respectively.
World gambling statistics show that about 26% of the world's population gambles. That means that about 1.6 billion people around the globe bet regularly, with 4.2 billion doing so at least once a year. The global sports betting market size was valued at USD 66.98 billion in 2020 and is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.1% from 2021 to 2028. The APAC region is responsible for 47% of all the world’s sports wagers.
With the combination of the three industries above, the global fantasy sports market is expected to grow from $22.31 billion in 2021 to $38.60 billion in 2025.
